We had an amazing 2 days at Kondhan Wadi - you would fall in love with the architecture of the house and how it blends with the natural surroundings !! It is very convenient to reach the place from western lines in Mumbai and the scenic village and its surroundings make you feel as if you have driven really far from the city. It's a quiet, peaceful and laid back place where you can feel nature to its fullest, feel the earth, breath in clean air and rejuvenate yourselves. Also, it is a place that the kids will enjoy a lot. They play with the domestic animals at the farm and enjoy the flora and fauna around. Highly recommend to families and those who are looking for a relaxing stay and break from the mundane and hectic city life. We must also say thay the food is home cooked, delicious & very hygenic. We hope to be back here soon ! A special mention to Melwyn (our host) and the caretakers at the house who took very good care of us for the 2 days we were there.

When you reach Kondhan wadi, it is as if you have stepped into another world. The peace and serenity encompasses you. A lot of thought has been put in building the house and the property to create a sustainable and eco friendly place - concepts that Melwyn and his family strongly believe in. The rooms and washrooms are super clean and beautifully done up in a rustic way. Every  nook in the house celebrates nature. Melwyn is a gracious host, attentive to the smallest detail and yet at the same time ensuring your privacy. The meals are well planned and in perfect combinations and super delicious. We had a great time soaking in the peace and serenity of the place where you can even hear the dew drops falling from the trees early in the morning. Had a delightful time with the fur babies- Tazo, Coffee and Kaya. (Missing you Tazo). A great stay that rejuvenated us. Thank you Melwyn for opening up your home to us. God bless!

We visited this place in July and it was literally quiet and rustic as the name says... Located in a village the property was surrounded by lush green trees all around.. Food was homecooked and was very delicious. All the rooms were neat and clean. Its a must visit place if you are planning for a break and want to enjoy amidst nature with your family

Our stay at Kondhan Wadi was just what we needed! The meals were delicious and homely, it really hit the spot. It was so peaceful and quiet, and being surrounded by nature made it feel vibrant in its simplicity. We loved tramping around the nearby farm too. Kondhan Wadi is truly a gem for anyone looking to unplug and immerse oneself in nature.

Stepping into a simpler way of life, this rustic village homestay offered a charm unlike any other. The accommodations were basic, yet comfortable, and the food – oh, the food! – was an absolute delight. Each meal was prepared with fresh, local ingredients, bursting with flavor. The quiet ambience of the village was a balm to the soul, inviting complete relaxation and escape from the everyday hustle.

Thank you for hosting us Melwyn. We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Rustic Kondhan Wadi. It was peaceful and serene. Aesthetics of the homestay were on point with the theme of sustainable living. Food was dellicious. Overall we had a great experience amidst the nature, we would surely like to visit again.

Quiet and Rustic Kondhan Wadi is a lovely homestay tucked away in its own little Garden of Eden... where birds and butterflies flirt with the flowers, while roosters are crowing about the yard outside the rustic mud brick home; Melwyn our host, along with Shankar and his wife who serves up delightful wholesome meals cooked on a wood fire, ensure your comfort in tranquil surroundings. You can go tramping about the farm and discover nature's bounties around mango, chickoo, guava and berry trees, and see the lush tomatoes, fiery chillies and other veggies which will soon appear on your dining table! Altogether, this is the place to unplug and immerse yourself in the cocoon as comforting as grandma's warm embrace!

The place brought back to life our own childhood, and we are happy we were able to give our son a peak into the vibrant local culture...simple and so full of life.  The place and the warmth of the host and staff is definitely luring us back for a future visit. See you then! Take care.
